What do you consider Android to be, if not a competitor of iOS?
replyMost Android devices aren't even Google products, and for much of Android's existence, none of them were. Android is a way to get ads in front of people... as is their partnerships with Apple.
replyThat describes Google's business. For Apple, Google is a competitor. An Android user is one less iOS user.
replyThen it's in their best interest to enable many Google products in iOS to give people less of a reason to buy an Android phone.
