Recently I learned: CNAMES come at a cost, esp. if latency to the nameservers are high.
replyCloudns.net isn't very expensive for a good anycast DNS service with features like GeoIP.
replyYou can also create ns0/1/2/3.metalhead.club records for their server IPs and use those as the nameservers for metalhead.club and then you skip one more lookup since the nameserver IPs will be included (as glue records) in the lookup for metalhead.club
