I hate this elitist HN argument and I have a degree and a long interest in software dev since I was a child. It’s vacuous gatekeeping at best and doesn’t explain the state of the industry. Yeah I know, bootcamps, blah blah. I’ve worked with great engineers who are also getting treated horribly.
