I don't think any of this was a mistake ;) Lock-in was by design.
replyI mean, not necessarily proprietary right? There are OSS solutions like forgejo that make it pretty simple, at least as simple as running a git system and a standalone CI system
replyi mean that is certainly better, but I still don’t like having them coupled. Webhooks were a great idea, and everyone seems to have forgotten about them.
