Disastrous decisions like ads, phoning home, and AI integration? I'm pretty sure MS brass considers those smart business decisions; even if those features fail, they will attempt to pivot them to something more successful rather than roll them back and admit defeat.

Executives always justify their own bizarre salary by saying that they make the decisions, but they never lose their position when those decisions are shit. They fire a bunch of developers and "refocus" like this article. The labor, who probably were against a bunch of this shit in the first place, take the blame.
