In most browsers you can hold the back button for a second and it will let you skip back more than one step.

replyProbably should have mentioned it, but I was on my phone browser where that option either doesn't exist or isn't surfaced well. A long press on the back button just does the same thing as tapping once, so I'm all out of ideas.
