You have to go to conferences and meetups. Paid conferences are worth is most of the time IMO. I spent $500 for the most expensive one and it landed me a really good offer later.
replyGo to conferences and shake hands with people, try to be friendly and ask questions. Later check companies of people you've met for openings - and ask the guy you met, directly, to put a word in for you, pretty please.
