replyThere is no reason why they couldn't license the model to Friendli/Fireworks/etc and have it hosted in the US to alleviate this concern.
replyThe reason is to create domestic demand for Chinese AI chips so they can eventually be free of NVIDIA.
replyReplacing NVIDIA is not a problem, replacing ASML is.
replyI don't know about this model specifically, but other china models did not have the limitation. It was purely on the hosted end, tacked on as a self check while the text was generating. Did that change?
