replyHuh. That doesn't happen with wired carplay (at least for me), and I can't see why this would be different.

I haven't noticed that either for that matter. When you say 'spam' here, what exactly do you mean?
When I look up a place on Google
Maps but don’t use it for navigation. I then use another app for navigation. After 15 minutes Google Maps starts showing notifications on CarPlay asking me if I want to use Google Maps to navigate to my destination. I classify that as spam and distracting while driving.
replyThis was about a year ago, I completely stopped using Google Maps since.
I've disabled notifications for Google Maps, so that'd explain why I don't have that problem. It's either open and I'm actively using it, or I'm not and it shouldn't talk to me, so I don't see why it should notify my about anything.
