replyWhy? I'm using my old Kindle Paperwhite every day, for many years now and I haven't had any issues or "distractions" pop up ever. Rarely I have to plug it into my computer to send books to it with Calibre, that's my only interaction with this device.
replyI'm just lazy and toggle airplane mode with the send-to-kindle @kindle.com email, though sometimes Amazon isn't happy and doesn't send it.
replyIt does refresh the lockscreen ads for a month or so, though. I have a cover so they don't really bother me.
agreed, obviously reading a book itself is the simplest way to read a book. but the simplest way to carry around an entire library is technology. so id like to remove the fiddling or needing to interact with said technology as a barrier to me turning off my brain from life to get sucked into a book
replyIt seems like you would only have to do this stuff once. So the main complaint is 'the settings menus need to be better organized'. That seems achievable.
