Curious if I'm alone here, but for me, I love this because it reminds me of the early world wide web and simple sites that showcased one subject matter, created by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, and serving as a catalyst for creating more enthusiasts. Sites like these were prominent in the 1990s before various forces and features and trends emerged that ruined the internet. This site is a refreshing experience and gives me hope that maybe the internet is not fully or permanently ruined. This site is like art about art -- undeniably tasty art.

A little bit of JavaScript might have been nice. Tapping through a dozen ramens required me to then hit back a dozen times to return.
replyRight click on the back button and you get a full list of the previous ramen entries you've viewed. If he implemented with Javascript, he'd have to build a custom history menu.
