I think it's absolutely amazing to have insight into long-term goals like this for open source projects. For one thing, it can help you plan your tech stack, and can even be a source of inspiration on what sorts of topics to learn and what sorts of research to do.

replyIf anything, pin ergonomics is at greater risk. People still discuss if we need both, but if we don't, then we go for this goal and not pin ergonomics, as it's more general.
replyIt (the immobile types proposal) is at a greater risk because it is a very pervasive and complicated change, and the expected semantics are not fully understood. It might be that there is no way to do this well.
