The amount of wailing about this was unbelievable. London is a terrible city for driving in in the first place, and the idea of 10% of them having to change cars provoked totally absurd responses.

We're going to see the same when EV-only mandates, true zero emissions zones, start appearing across the next decade.

It's madness but I hope abolishing ULEZ will have little impact at least for London - people who already drive modern cars will not start suddenly replacing them with older more polluting ones.

Conservatives flipped on multiple of their policies after Reform's success on local election in 2025 and started to copy Reform UK. Even the Labour shifter right after 2025.
