Thats sorta my situation, a scene I'm rather involved in has most the international users there, as such thats where things still live. Every other alternative has failed to gain enough traction for one reason or another.

Its usually either limited features, regional accessibility issues, or platforms like metas' just basically trading one big bad organization for another.

Here en Europe we all saw the owner of Xitter doing the Nazi salute. Can't talk about other regions but here we are well aware who the CEO is.

That Bluesky link is sign-in-walled.

Ironic, given how many people criticise X.com for its sign-in requirements.

In this case it is because the posting account has explicitly ticked 'Ask apps and sites not to show my account to logged-out users'. Of course, Bluesky is built upon the open AT Protocol, so you can still view the post by any one of a number of other means without requiring a complex workaround.

He has spent the last few months repeatedly posting the same comment about hitler being a socialist. If it was just the salute in isolation it could be questionable, but now there is no doubt.

English is still the lingua franca of Europe. I find that users in all parts of Asia still use Xitter heavily (though some artists in East and Southeast Asia fled when the Grok edit button was added), and only nazis and campist communists still use Xitter in the US.
