Deception is certainly part of the problem. Imagine if your friend sent you a paragraph personal text message on your birthday. Then imagine you find out they didn't write it at all, their AI agent just went through the contact list, saw your birthday and generated a message based on previous conversations.

The message you received is the same either way, but it's clearly different.

Or they would pay a designer to do it for them. Also no effort but just cost more.
