I don't think "being extroverted all the time" is the desired outcome that is being demanded. You don't need to do that to throw a dinner party a couple of times a year.

This is such an arrogant thing to say and completely untrue.

Being forced to conform to a set pattern of social behaviour/enjoyment is thoroughly damaging to your psychological health. It baffles me that anyone would think not.

Not who you asked and and not anonymous. But I know introversion is not learned because I lived it. Decades of making an effort to be social enough never made me any less introverted. I assume the same is true for extroversion but I can't speak from experience there.

Maybe yours is innate. How do you know that's true for all people ? You don't.
