Weirdly I’ve never seen Jim Simons or any Jane Street employees doing this. I wonder why?
replySlightly off-topic, but I interviewed at one of the two companies above, plus Bridgewater, and never felt so stupid in my entire life. Real geniuses in some interviews, people who know what they are talking about and have zero need for selling courses or videos. On the other hand, if they _did_ need to sell something, I doubt they would be able to, as charisma was sorely lacking.

I imagine that most of them are in it for making real money and not begging people to buy their ‘how to trade’ course online.

replyWhat sucks abut these types of people and the latest get rich quick scheme of the day is that they are generally rewarded mightily by society and investment. Part of it is greater fool theory playing out lucratively, part of it is also these crypto bros or ai bros or what-have-you bros finding themselves with an ear to actual government power directly shaping the trajectory of nation states into their favor.
