The alphabet is everyone's to use freely. If the alphabet were distributed under a GPL, and I used it without attribution, that would be theft.

No, the alphabet was secret knowledge belonging only to the initiated priest class before people stole it and divulged it to the public. Now you owe their descendants royalties for a lifetime use of the alphabet, unless you're a thief.

Well, anyone can create an alphabet. You just take a font and change one character.

So anything you do can and will be stolen. There's no reason for you to make anything. Thank you for reinforcing my point.
