Looks like it's explicitly designed to work with special mounts, so the idea was never that you'd use your own cable and mount it yourself, but rather buy one of these USB-C/hardwired/PoE ones and plug the device into it. tbh I see this as good way to hide the cable behind the wall. If I have already AC power available , I can mount it directly above it without any hanging cable
