In Europe all those things are done by dentists too

This has been a shift in my lifetime. When I was a kid it was still very much in the health professional angle. Except for orthodontics. Over the last 25 years it's been a marked shift towards that kind of thing.

And it's happening now for doctors, too, even here in Canada with our single-payer universal healthcare.
