Maybe I'm obtuse, but I just struggle to understand why we as humans, at this stage, knowing what we know, we think that there's value and honor in trying to build new things and try to move off our planet. I mean I get it, there's the exploration spirit, there's the pushing of the frontier. But our generation, in striving for such things, has somehow disconnected ourselves from where I believe the value actually lies. Taking care of loved ones, of our children, of pets. Teaching our children to love and to be gentle and to take care of others. Appreciating the beauty of the universe, because no machine will ever be able to do that. Creating art, and beautiful music, investing inside of these works our emotions rather than physical resources so that we can create feelings in other. A machine can never make real music or art because it doesn't come from feeling and experience.
I just don't know.
