replyEven if Claude would be able to find a few potential molecules to improve the disease, it still takes millions to bring it to fruition, and there is still a big chance of poor results through real world trials.

I suspect the public model will refuse. Anthropic models have gotten extremely strict on biology and security work.
replyI'd be happy to be wrong, though. I've never tried to do biology with Claude, but I have gotten many refusals and downgrades for security work.
I was downgraded for asking about a poisonous plant in my yard (poisonous for my cats, not for humans).
replyThat tracks. Fable refuses anything interesting, and Opus from 5 onward also refuses pretty regularly. It's one big reason I have other subscriptions.
