Opening the page with uBlock Origin and NoScript, the image and article text show just fine.

Some sites these days won't show anything at all without Javascript, so I actually give the site kudos for working well with no Javascript.

Evidently Javascript causes cancer.

It is called the visual "capitalist" for a reason it seems.
